Oh Jinkies, Velma Is A Lesbian!

Yes, you read that right. After seeing her during our entire childhoods, in the nasty little dusty cupboards of our imaginations… VELMA DINKLEY is confirmed to be a lesbian in the upcoming Scooby-Doo film!

After years of speculations, fan fiction of quite intense nature… and lots of debates. The studio behind the film has finally decided to embrace Velma for who she really is and show off her true identity.

Velma Dinkley is a crime-fighting heroine that has been featured in hundreds of Scooby-Doo cartoons and movies for decades.

Previous Scooby-Doo writers and producers have said they have tried to present Velma as a lesbian but could not be explicit with their depiction.

Now, with the forthcoming animated film Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!, Velma’s preference for girls has finally been confirmed… and she is even getting a girlfriend in the form of a glamorous new character Coco Diablo.

The LGBTQIA+ Community has been waiting for years… we saw her, we knew, we waited for her to know herself and now… it is her time to shine bright!

In celebration of Velma’s “coming out’ Google has even added a feature in which pride flags and confetti appear on the screen in Velma-related searches. Clips from the newly released film showing Velma admitting her feelings and being smitten with Diablo are being widely circulated online. With lots of people posting reaction videos in celebration.

Cannot wait to see how the crazy people will be turning this one political, but until then… happy pride to you Velma Dinkley! Shine bright girl… you deserve the happiness!
