Scheduled for Saturday, the 26th of October 2024, from 11h00 until late, and Sunday, the 27th of October 2024, from 11h00 until 16h00, the Garden on 4th in Linden will transform into a vibrant and enchanting playground for fans of alternative culture. This year’s Halloween-themed gathering promises an experience that is larger, more engaging, and more thrilling than ever!
Hosted by Gotcha Pizzeria, KE AI, and YES SIR! Events, this gathering continues its tradition of bringing together enthusiasts of the geek culture, offering a weekend filled with magical experiences, extravagant costumes, and delightful surprises waiting to be discovered at every turn.
Franco Ferrarese, the visionary behind this event, shares, “We have expanded the event since last year, and this Halloween edition is shaping up to be our best yet! Expect more activities, a greater number of stalls, and an even more immersive experience for fans of all ages. Get ready to celebrate Halloween in an extraordinary way!”
Attendees can look forward to a retail wonderland bursting with unique offerings—from comic books to collectibles, and from alternative fashion to handmade crafts. This vibrant marketplace is the perfect place to find those must-have additions to your collection.
The vendor lineup is impressive and diverse, featuring notable participants such as Mr Pencils, Sin Bin, Lumichen Art, Angelo Sketches, JB Curiosities, The Bleeding Tree, Sierra Creations, TMEI, Nyankami Creations, Nordic Leather, Prin Crochet, Dragon Blade, The Red Thread, Estelle Sketched, The Bubble Emporium, Nightshade Lane, LeadedB, Queery Faery Magical Shoppe, and many more!
When it comes to tantalising your taste buds, Gotcha Pizzeria and other food vendors will be ready to serve up dishes that will haunt your palate. The culinary offerings promise to be as delightful as they are delicious.
A highlight of this year’s event is the exciting dress-up competition, which features separate categories for children and adults! Participants can join in the fun at the Halloween ‘Fashion Fright Show’ for a chance to win impressive prizes. The schedule for each competition will be announced soon, so costumes should be prepared for the big day!
To keep the atmosphere lively, talented DJs will be spinning tracks throughout the gathering, setting the perfect mood for festivities.
Adding to the excitement is the special Halloween Geek Quiz, commencing at 14h00, where incredible prizes await the brightest minds.
Expect even more surprises, including pottery painting sessions, craft workshops, The Writers Block at the Linden Library, The TAG Block at 65 on 4th, and additional surprises throughout the weekend!
Please note that a voluntary donation of any pet-related item (such as pet food, blankets, toys, etc.) or R20 will be greatly appreciated at entry. All contributions will go to support animals in need. This year, funds are being raised for Fourways Veterinary Hospital and their beneficiaries, with past beneficiaries including Fairlands Ferals, Bedfordview Veterinary Clinic, and Greenside Veterinary Clinic.
