I’ve been growing basil in my little garden for months. Through severe rain and extreme sun, my little seedlings grew up into nice big bunches of basil ready to be used. Full of nutrients and simply smelling amazing.
But what can you use it for besides using it fresh? I decided to experiment and make some basil-infused salt. This way I can use it longterm and in many different kinds of dishes.
So here goes my own version (and my first fail) of basil-infused salt.
What do you need?
- Fresh basil
- Coarse sea salt or Himalayan salt
- A food processor or blender
- Baking pan and baking sheet
- Time and patience
- Fairydust for when you mess up
Instructions:

Salt infused with fresh herbs is a simple way to spice up everyday foods, and because there’s added flavour, you can use less than usual!
It can also be a great gift to give others, something that comes from your heart and made with love. Slap a nifty personalised sticker on the container and it could become extra special.
Try make your own and let me know how it went! ??
