After the highly successful release of his EP Arende en Engele at the end of 2024, Len Muller kicks off 2025 with a beautiful new single, Soos ‘n Engel. A short excerpt of the song was recently shared on TikTok and within just 12 days, garnered over 200,000 views, with videos being shared widely. This massive response and strong interest indicate that thís song is set to become a definite favourite.
The track is about admiration, love, and how special someone can make you feel. This Afrikaans pop song features strong dance and festive elements – a fresh and upbeat sound that’s truly infectious!
“Soos ‘n Engel is an exciting new genre I’ve experimented with. It’s a romantic song with a danceable rhythm, a bit different from my usual sound. I’m very proud of this project and can’t wait for people to hear it! It’s one of my wife’s favourites, and she’s been asking me to record it for four years now. The title is very symbolic – it reflects the feeling of admiration. It’s a metaphor for how love uplifts and inspires,” Muller shares.
Len wrote the song over a period of four years, with Juan Boucher later contributing to part of the second verse. The song was produced by Gideon Botes, who did an incredible job of bringing the song’s energy and emotion to life.
The song is inspired by that unforgettable feeling of being in love or admiring someone. Len wanted to create something that captures that feeling and reminds listeners how wonderful love is.
“It’s a positive song that I hope will make people feel good – the world needs more of that energy. I chose it because I believe it speaks directly to people’s hearts. It’s a song you can enjoy with friends and family on any occasion,” Len adds.
A beautiful music video of Soos ‘n Engel has also just been released.

The music video was filmed at various locations at Scarborough Beach and Kalk Bay Harbour, reflecting the natural elements and simplicity of the song’s theme. This gives the video a timeless, authentic feel that complements the emotional core of the track.
“I wanted to create something visually captivating that would engage viewers’ imaginations and touch them emotionally. The simplicity and symbolism in the video allow the song’s story to stand out. We chose to tell a visual story that transports people into another world—one that complements the song’s feeling,” Len explains.
Len’s wife, Chanél Muller, directed the music video. Her unique perspective helped make it truly special. The talented Nico Welgemoed was behind the camera and also saw to the editing.
“Working with my wife on this project was a very special experience. It’s not just a song—it’s a creative celebration of love, family, and the power of music to bring people together,” he concludes.
Muller is currently working on a new album, set for release later this year. He is also looking forward to more performances in 2025 and has been invited to perform once again at the INNIBOS festival in Nelspruit in July 2025.
