Director Robert Rodriguez and writer/actor John Malkovich have collaborated with the help of Louis XIII Cognac to make a movie that no one will see for 100 years.
100 Years is an upcoming experimental science fiction film advertised in 2015 with the tagline “The Movie You Will Never See”, it is due to be released on November 18, 2115.
The plot is a closely held secret, which is not expected to be revealed until the film itself is released in November 2115. However, teaser trailers that were released in 2015 suggest it will either be sci-fi themed, nature-themed or retro-themed and will involve a hero, a heroine, and a male villain.
Inspired by the hundred years it takes to make a bottle of Louis XIII. The Cognac Brand placed a bottle of Louis XIII with the movie and is being kept pending release, in a high-tech safe behind bulletproof glass that will open automatically on November 18, 2115, the day of the film’s premiere.
The team also collaborated with singer and producer Pharrell Williams to create a song titled 100 years for the release of the film.
Just as each cellar master is dedicating his life to create a LOUIS XIII masterpiece which he will never experience, the cast and crew of the movie will never see the final cut of the film. This led to the creative direction of the Movie, which explores the fascinating concept of what the future might look like in a hundred years.
Who will be the lucky people to attend the premiere in 2115?
Well, one thousand guests from around the world, including Malkovich and Rodriguez, have received a pair of invitation tickets made of metal for the premiere, which they can hand down to their descendants. What an inheritance deal to get don’t you think?
Let’s look at the three teaser trailers released back in 2015 for the movie, but to be fair. they are the same trailer with slight differences to represent Retro, Nature and Future only. No real indication of the plotline of the actual film besides seeing a hero, heroine and a villain.
Are you going to tell your descendants to watch out for this movie?
What do you think it would be like?
